Homeschool Days

Homeschool families will have the opportunity to explore nature-based themes through a variety of hands-on activity stations set up throughout our outdoor garden spaces. This day is for homeschool learners (ages 2 -18) and their grown-ups to explore and learn together.

We offer Homeschool Days twice a year (once in Fall and once in Spring) on Mondays. Since we are closed to the public on Mondays, this program is for pre-registration only. This slower moving day allows families to go through the Gardens at their own pace.

The time frame is the window for arrival check in. Once you check-in, you're allowed to stay in the Gardens until 3 pm. We anticipate the program will take approximately two hours for families to complete.

Click on the right side of the screen to view other times. We are offering 4 time frames for Spring 2025.

Groups are welcome to picnic in our Magic School Bus picnic space either prior or after the program. Please note that Bookworm Gardens has a carry in, carry out trash policy.

Summer Field Days

We have transitioned into a new Summer field trip model — Summer Field Days! This program will allow all Summer groups such as daycares, preschools, camps, and day programs to experience the fun of a field trip, but moving at their own pace. Similar to field trips, this day is a combination of exploring, reading and educational opportunities.

Organizations will sign up for each person attending and break into smaller groups (of 20 children or less).

  • Each of these groups must have a minimum of 1 chaperone per 10 children.
  • Chaperones will move their groups through the Gardens and stop at different stations throughout.
  • Groups must stay together as they move through the Gardens.
  • Cost is $6 per person

This day will be closed to general public and only available with pre-registration. Groups must pre-register for a timeslot and pay for the total number attending at the time of registration

The time frame is the window for arrival check in. Once you check-in, you move through the Gardens in your smaller groups. We are predicting groups will need two hours to move through the Gardens.
